Meant to be

Wesley and Anika Myburgh 4 June 2021

Anika and Wesley met each other while still in school. Wesley was the catch amongst the girls. Everybody, including Anika, had a crush on him. But Anika herself stood out, being one of the top students and being crowned as Miss Linden.
As they are both very focused, hard-working and having a healthy social life there was no time for a serious relationship.

After they have lost contact for a while it was Wesley’s turn to work for Anika’s affection and to win her heart.
After a few years of studies, community service and moving around they were finally able to live in the same area again in 2020. Wesley was not going to let her slip away so he proposed, during lockdown. ( what else are you supposed to do?)

Nothing was going to stop them from having their magical wedding day, not covid, lockdown restriction or winter.

It’s always been him
She smiled
Our souls just dance the same

Finally on one of the coldest day’s this winter they said their vows under the trees at the picturesque wedding venue The Ground in Muldersdrift.
Surrounded by their close family and friends they promised their love to each other. Their joy and happiness warmed everyone’s heart.

Nadene from New Romantics had the privilege to design and make their gorgeous dresses.
Anika’s elegant, simplistic dress complimented her classic timeless beauty. An off-shoulder corset bodice with a full ballgown skirt made in a textured honeycomb fabric. Ideal for a winter wedding. She had fitted sleeves that were detachable.

Elegance is good taste
Plus a dash of daring

Keeping it natural their colours were shades of green and white. The bridesmaids in easy simplistic T-length style dresses in soft sage green. The mothers both in elegant emerald green beaded and lace dresses.
